FDR ES-II
High-Resolution Imaging With Lower X-Ray Dose
The FDR ES-II uses Fujifilm's Irradiated Side Sampling (ISS) technology, which places the TFT on the incident side of the detector to shorten the signal path from the scintillator to the TFT array. This improves signal transmission and supports sharper images at a lower X-ray dose. A built-in noise reduction circuit also helps reduce image noise and graininess in low-density areas.
The detector also features Automatic Exposure Detection (AED), allowing X-ray detection and image creation without a direct connection between the X-ray generator and DR power supply unit.
Practical Design and Workflow Features
The 17 × 17-inch square cassette eliminates the need to change its orientation between horizontal and vertical positioning during examinations. The detector has IPX3 waterproofing and a flat, easy-to-clean surface.
A side-mounted power-saving switch reduces power consumption when the panel is not in use, while LED indicators show battery level, power, device operation, and connectivity. The battery latch allows one-handed replacement, with the detector ready for imaging in approximately 30 seconds.
Optional Image Processing
Virtual Grid — reduces the effects of scatter radiation without requiring a physical grid, while maintaining contrast and image sharpness and reducing asymmetric density caused by tube-detector misalignment.
Dynamic Visualization II — uses recognition algorithms and estimated 3D image data to identify the relevant body part and automatically adjust contrast, density, and enhancement for image display.
