Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH)

Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) is an enzyme found in almost all body cells. When cells are damaged or destroyed, LDH is released into the blood and other body fluids, making it a useful general marker of tissue and cellular damage.

Clinical Significance
